Visit Campus and Parking Information

Visiting: To get to the University of Maryland, see Campus and Visitor Services.

In this map of campus, Thurgood Marshall Hall (TMH) is located south of Campus Drive near Route 1. It is outlined in red.

Parking for the event: The symposium is held during the week between spring and summer semesters on campus. During this week, any vehicle (with or without a current DOTS permit) may park in Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11, 15, 16, 17 and 19. Faculty/staff lot, pay station areas, and meters are still enforced. UMD has a useful interactive campus map to help you get around campus.

On the map above, we’ve highlighted some of the best parking lots for this event. The two marked in blue — Regents’ Garage and Lot C1 — have visitor parking with pay meters. The closest numbered lot (that anyone can park in) is Lot 1 on the west side of campus, marked in yellow.

Note: There will be two high school graduations on campus on May 29 at 9am and 1pm. These graduations will be held at the XFINITY Center (basketball stadium), so you should avoid entering campus from the entrance at University Blvd/193 and Paint Branch Dr.
