Kidsteam @ UMD

Researchers at the Human-Computer Interaction Lab understand that technologies work best when they’re designed with their users in mind.

For that reason, Dr. Allison Druin and Kidsteam have been working to involve children as partners in the design of technology. Using a groundbreaking collaborative design process, Kidsteam helps to give children a voice in the creation of youth technologies. Kidsteam kids have played an integral role in developing technologies such as the Emmy-winning Nickelodeon Nick App and the website for the National Park Service initiative Every Kid in a Park, among many others.
