We use maps to convey geographical information, and graphs to convey time series information, but there is no common graphical format to convey geo-referenced time series information. Multiple small maps may be useful as a way of exploring this type of information. Issues raised by this type of interface, such as granularity and recognizability, and research plans for addressing them, are discussed.
